Gifting Drive X - Periods Do Not Stop in a Pandemic
Our 'Gift A Pack of Pads!' campaign has concluded, after running for a little over a year!
We have benefited over 2000 women and children in need across Maharashtra, and this has been entirely due to the trust and faith our contributors, that's you, put in us. Despite unforeseen circumstances, such as the Mumbai & Pune floods in 2019, and COVID lock-downs, thwarting our Gifting Drive schedule, we held on to all your contributions and made sure that the sanitary pads were gifted directly to beneficiaries.
We have worked only with trusted NGOs and partners, and our team members have been present at every Gifting Drive. Where we were unable to be physically present, we made sure our reliable partners in Mumbai & Pune oversaw the Gifting Drives. A big thank you to the following partners -
- Maher Ashram, Pune
- Social, Entrepreneurship & Consulting Cell, of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune
- Red Is The New Green, Mumbai
Due to COVID-19 and the nation-wide lock-down imposed due to it, thousands of Indians, across the country, have been struggling to make ends meet.
It is important to keep in mind the need for maintaining utmost health and hygiene during this time. And to help women in need in lock-down affected areas of Mumbai, we collaborated with Red Is The New Green.
Thanks to all those of you who generously donated to this cause, we have helped over 1000 women in the G & N Wards of Mumbai, in the month of May alone!
Red is the new Green (RING) is an award winning Mumbai based organisation which has been working to reduce period poverty through advocacy and education. They aim to supply and support NGO partners on the field who are working with urban slum communities, guest workers and under-served areas with sanitary napkins during the lock-down.
